This is going to be quite a short post!
My husband and children are about the only support network I have. And as they also have health issues, we just kinda support each other as best we can.
There’s a few people I can text if I’m feeling down. So that’s good. But they can’t really give me the support I need most, like medical support and physically doing things for me. Plus they all have their own issues too, including health issues, so I don’t want to lean on them too much.
My GP is an ok support. Not as bad as some I’ve had, and she readily admits I’m the expert on my medical issues not her. But she can’t really do much for me other than trial some meds and refer me on to useless specialists.
So I do have a certain amount of support but not really enough and that’s just something I’ve had to get used to.
